Thai Dipping Sauce

This all-purpose dipping sauce is good for grilled or fried meats, fish or seafood.  It can be prepared ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Ingredients :

  • 2 tbsp. fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. red hot pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. sesame oil

Cooking Procedures :

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl.  Stir until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Just before serving, add a 1 tbsp. mixture of chopped cucumber, carrots, green onions or cilantro and toasted peanuts.
  3. Makes about 1/2 cup.
