Ingredients :
Base
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1 egg
- 1-3/4 cup graham crumbs
- 3/4 cup coconut flakes
Filling
- 1/2 stick butter, softened
- 3 tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tbsp. custard powder
- 2 cups icing sugar
Glaze
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 tbsp. butter
Cooking Procedures :
- Prepare the Base: In a saucepan over medium-low heat, add butter, sugar and cocoa; stir to combine well. Add egg, cook and stir constantly until mixture thickens. Remove from heat. Mix in crumbs and coconut flakes. Press into a greased 8 or 9 in. square pan. Chill.
- Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat together butter, milk, vanilla, custard powder and icing sugar; until light and fluffy. Spread evenly over base. Chill.
- Prepare the Glaze: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chocolate chips. Let the mixture cool slightly. Pour evenly over filling. Refrigerate.
