Homemade Barbecue Rub

Make this recipe in quantity and keep it on hand to flavour any grilled steak.  Rub it over the meat before grilling.
Ingredients :

  • 1 tbsp. paprika
  • 1 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper

Cooking Procedures :

  1. Combine paprika, chili powder, mustard, dried thyme, salt and pepper.  Transfer to an airtight container.
  2. Keeps in a cupboard for about 6 months.
  3. Makes about 1/4 cup.
